The 3rd SKEM NORTH JFC "Celebration of Football"
This year's SKEM NORTH JFC tournament will take place at Glenburn Sports College on the 27th and 28th of June and will involve the U7 to U14 age groups, which will play as follows:
U7 5-a-side Sunday 28th of June
U8 5-a-side Sunday 28th of June
U9 7-a-side Saturday 27th of June
U10 7-a-side Saturday 27th of June
U11 9-a-side Saturday 27th of June
U12 9-a-side Saturday 27th of June
U13 11-a-side Sunday 28th of June
U14 11-a-side Sunday 28th of June
Entry fees will be 30 pounds for U7 to U10, 35 pounds for U11 to U14.
There will be a group stage followed by a second phase playing of for places, with a total of 6 matches for every team.
Matches will be played 12 minutes one way for U7 to U12, without offside
(Same as last year)
15 minutes one way for U13 and U14, with offside and linesmen
(This varies from last year and the first 2 teams will now go through as in the other age groups)
In U7 to U10 there will be medals for all participants, who stay until the end and a trophy for the overall winning team (Champions league) and the winner of the bottom half (Europa league).
In U11 to U14 there will be medals for the top 3 teams in Champions league and Europa league and again a trophy for the winning team of Champions league and Europa league.
The format of the tournament is that every team plays 3 group games and 3 games in the second phase. Please be aware that teams leaving early in frustration spoil it for everyone else and it is not in the spirit of the tournament to leave, just because results have not gone your way.
As always there will be food and drink at reasonable prices and plenty of entertainment.
If you are interested please email me on [email protected] to reserve your place and post the registration form and entry fee to the address on the form. Last year we had to turn quite a number of teams away, who left it too late. Entries are strictly on a first come, first served basis and the first few places are already taken up.

Feedback:
Thanks for putting on excellent tournament. Well run and great pitches. BETLEY FC U12
Just wanted to say big well done to everyone involved in yesterday's tournament.
Our lads really enjoyed it and many parents commented on how well organised it was.
We will certainly be looking to come back next year. MAGHULL FC U12
Thank you for the Skem North tournament on Saturday.
All my players had a really good time.
Even though it dragged on a little bit, I thought the format was excellent with all teams getting lots of football right to the end.
I'm sure you have lots of ideas on how to speed up the running of it next time.
If you do decide to do it again next year we will be more than happy to attend. ASPULL JUNIORS U11
Just like to say a big will done this weekend. The tournament was very good. SKELMERSDALE UNITED U8
Thank you for the weekend it was a great tournament for us and introduction to the UK game for our boys by some tough local teams. very glad for them we did well with all the under 9's we had. Please let us know details for next year. UNION MILLS U10
You have to be commended on an excellent tournament, the highlights of which were, for us, the venue, the state of the pitches, the even-handedness of the referees, the punctuality and the informative nature of the PAannouncements. Even the programmes with their little team profiles were much better than we are used to. WOOLTON WOLVES U12
